Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who beginning the current research into the study of witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within legal contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with many publications and many grants to her name she is also the winner of a variety of international and national awards. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world on policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
